DESCRIPTION:Did you know that this June marks the 100th birthday of the Bridge Street Bridge? \nTo celebrate\, we are inviting you to join us from 10am–3pm on Saturday 14th June at Witney and District Museum for a free drop in workshop! \nCome and get creative with us as we build bridges together! Families of all ages can design and build their own bridges\, inspired by the evolving Bridge Street bridges. Whether you’re an expert engineer or just fancy a go\, this hands-on activity is open to everyone. \nAlongside the making\, we’re also inviting you to share your memories of Bridge Street as part of our oral history project\, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. We’re looking to record stories from local people – from everyday moments to special events – to help capture the real-life history of this important local landmark. Our friendly team will be on hand to listen\, chat\, and record your memories (if you’d like!). \nNo experience needed and all materials provided. Children and young people under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nThis is a relaxed\, drop-in workshop – come by any time between 10am and 3pm. \nEntry to the museum is free.
