This May Day, celebrate spring as generations of Witney families have done before, with colour, creativity and coming together.
May has long been a time of fairs, garlands, music and dancing in the town, marking the turning of the seasons and a moment of shared celebration. Inspired by these local traditions, families are invited to create their own May Day inspired art work.
Discover how communities in Witney welcomed the warmer months and made space for joy alongside work and industry. Then add your own twist to the tradition and take your handmade decorations home to keep the spirit of spring alive.
Perfect for all ages. No experience needed and all materials are provided. Children and young people must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
This is a relaxed, drop-in event – come by any time between 10:30am and 1pm.
